New Zealand is otherworldly. In the mist, the forest greens are so rich and you can taste the pine and fog in the air. In the sun, the light is golden and soft, delicately placed over the landscapes like a blanket. Our adventure started in Queenstown. We went in search of mountains to climb, crossing through forests littered with pinecones, climbing down and around valleys and skipping stones across the lake.
After discovering and conquering a little trail leading to the top of Bob’s Peak, we arrived out of breath both from climbing and from the emotional strain of taking everything in. What we found up there was incredible. The view of the mountains, valleys and the little people down below… These photographs are just a taste of what we saw, and of our journey to get there.
